In this final hour before the February 22nd eviction date we are asking you to support us with a Global request for an extension of that deadline. We believe that this is an unrealistic timeline which can only result in forcible removal of Water Protectors and our sacred and personal belongs.
We are in full cooperation with The Army Corp of Engineers and are committed to a good faith combined effort to clean up the land. We want good relations with ACOE and believe that all parties can be honored for a positive outcome.

"A few things: - If you're coming to Standing Rock, bring your own camping/winter weather gear, book a room in advance (they book out FAST - prairieknights.com) or have a plan with friends/family when you arrive here. Supplies are abundant but should be reserved for protectors that live here and plan to be in camp longterm. Avoid zapping resources intended for those who live here. - Don't fundraise to get out here if you don't intend to work hard/get arrested/contribute in a real way to this community. If you just want an Instagram photo or a legit Facebook check-in, save your time and ours. Donate to our funds and help the protectors on the ground make it through the day/week/month/winter. - PLEASE don't show up and disregard the words of the people that are native to this land. Don't argue with elders. Don't blow off the rules. Don't go to the front lines without completing a non-violent direct action training (or 10). Don't yell at the cops - you get us in trouble. Don't spread your friend's ashes on our sacred fire (totally happened). Don't walk around with your crystals or totems or wands or anything like that and trip out the people who are here in ceremony, to pray in our peoples' way. " Hi there, I'm just curious as to why The USACE has not put a temporary bridge in place of the highway 1806 Bridge if structure is the hold up? It has been released that it will take up to a month to get the core samples back to confirm the soundess of the bridge. It has supposedly been in question since October as far as being safe for transportation.
I am just wondering why is it that if a bridge collapses in Washington it has a temporary structure in place in less than a month (The Skagit River Bridge on 1-5 May-June 2013 http://www.historylink.org/File/10584) when the only thing there that was an emergency was commerce , where-as in North Dakota The army corp has known for months the weather conditions Cannonball and the Standing Rock Highway 1806 area gets , and knowing it would be directly harmful to those currently on the reservation or south there of. People have currently been in a hazardous situation for no other reason than intentional dereliction of duty in most eyes and I would just like to know as a generally inquisitive citizen, why not a Temporary Bridge for Standing Rock?
